Tell me what it is like being a new mother and something about Jamie you are discovering?
It’s been 10 weeks since I became a mum and it still feels surreal to think that I have a son. It has been the most exciting experience of my life and I am so grateful to have him. It has also been the most challenging experience of my life and has felt overwhelming at times. I have a new respect for all mothers, including my own. As I now know first hand the amount of time, effort and patience that goes into looking after a child. I have been very lucky that I have lots of support, which has made it easier. I am discovering more about Jamie each day as I get to know what he wants and likes. He has started to smile and babble now, which is priceless and makes getting up in the night seem not so bad!
