When did you open the store?
Beth – We opened it in 1995, it was a bric-a-brac store. Soon after we decided to go into books.
Noel – We decided to go into books because books are the love of my life. We opened with all of my collectable books, which had been left to me by the family. We have grown and grown and grown. Nearly twenty years later, this is where we are.
It feels like I am stepping into a different world in your store…
Noel – Well, that is exactly what we try to create. Dejavu for those that are looking for what was here, in yesteryears. What has been lost. People come in here and it brings them back to what they love the most, which is the books and bookshops of long ago.
Beth is also a writer and you are an artist.
Noel – Beth has been keen on writing since we opened the shop. She has had successes. I do African portraits.
