Lawrence Fane From Johannesburg living in London

How do you stay connected to your South African Roots living abroad?
Well firstly I am very fortunate that I live in London where there is a large South Africa Community. We have lots of South African shops where we can get biltong, nick naks, ghost pops, ouma rusks and boerewors which is always a massive help. It is also very good that the South African community adopts you very very quickly and helps you settle down in your new country. So you end up with a big group of South African friends. So while you are integrating into a new country you still have a taste of South Africa with you all the time. We also get very good coverage of Tri-Nations rugby, or now the rugby championship. There is a big South Africa culture in London so it is very easy to stay connected.
